• To provide technical support for identified Western UP districts to draft, implement and monitor districts’ routine immunization plans.
• Together with key partners, assist in the coordination of and play a secretariat role as necessary for district RI taskforces
• Advocate the use of and dissemination of a standard RI monitoring format
• Assist in the regular collection, dissemination, analysis and feedback on RI data
• Together with partner agencies, assist in training DIOs and BMOs in strengthening routine immunization activities
• To provide support for other aspects of polio eradication efforts when necessary
  

• Previous practical immunization experience at least at district level is essential
• Previous field and training experience
• Qualification in medicine with specific epidemiology skills
• Experience of implementing health projects with training elements
• Ability to work in a team environment and be prepared to travel extensively
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written reports
• Ability to work and share information with multiple partners

The selected candidates will be recruited on a contract through December 2007. Contract renewal will be based on a performance evaluation. Gross annual salary is approximately Rs. 7 lakh and is subject to taxation as per Indian law.
